It is rare that you get a chance to work with talent like Aroop. I had the pleasure of working with Aroop for 2 years at Philips Global Cost Master team in Eindhoven, Netherlands. He was the first Global Cost Manager hired by Philips and helped me get started in my role. I joined the team in Dec 2013 and worked with him on many projects. He always surprises me and other team members with his out of the box thinking, and his simplistic approach to complex problems.

Our first contact with Aroop was in April 2002; when we had participated on his first re-design project for Brazil. This was a long running product produced at relatively poor yields. The re-design had made a huge impact on how we view upon the new target for manufacturing. The yield had improved about 20-25%, and we made good returns for the factory.

Aroop is the kind of people you want, love and wish to work with; he is very patience, helpful and always willing to help you. He is always trying to apply Concurrent Engineering, which is a new term to what he is used to do, get connected to people and listening to the customers needs or demands. He transfers that to the design he is in charge of and he has a very accurate skills on that.
